expressive (Scotland) Ltd. produces the official Party Election Broadcast of the Scottish Green Party. Directed by Stan Blackley, the four-minute PEB is shot and edited by Ben Kempas. In April, BBC and STV are to air the programme that is characterised by a graphical comparison between "grey" and "green" worlds. The Scottish Greens are set on a significant boost of their share of the vote in the elections to the Scottish Parliament ... Our Xpress DV enables us to edit in Digital Video quality, including offline editing of projects that were shot on one of the Betacam formats. First tests left us very happy ... The programme is a half-hour updated version, including the latest blockade and the Alternative Nobel Prize for 'Trident Ploughshares' ... March 2002	It's time for the US Premiere of our film, THE LOCH LONG MONSTER, a documentary about anti-nuclear activists in Scotland who no longer wait for the politicians to disarm: They have set out to dismantle Britain's nuclear submarines. Finnish Television YLE will broadcast THE LOCH LONG MONSTER twice in Finnish and Swedish versions. This is the first international sale, as a result of Docs For Sale, a documentary market at the Amsterdam festival. This has encouraged Ben Kempas to enforce international marketing of this co-production by HFF Munich and expressive ... January 2002	Three screenings in Scotland marked the premiere of the English version of THE LOCH LONG MONSTER. The film was shown at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh and at the GFT in Glasgow. The documentary's director, Ben Kempas, is very happy about the feedback: "I certainly didn't expect the public screening to be nearly sold out - on a Monday night! On 15 March 2001 we are going to celebrate the premiere of Ben Kempas' latest film. DAS MONSTER VON LOCH LONG (THE LOCH LONG MONSTER) is a documentary about anti-nuclear activists in Scotland who no longer wait for the politicians to disarm: They have started to dismantle Britain's nuclear submarines. The film has been produced by Gerd Ruge, Professor for TV journalism at HFF Munich, well-known as German foreign correspondent, in co-operation with expressive. February 2001	Ben Kempas was the DOP on one of the first short films made on the new high definition cinematography and television standard 1080p. What's the buzz about HDCAM? For a technical diploma at HFF, cameramen Johannes Kaltenhauser and Ben Kempas are launching a comprehensive camera test which has not been done in this form in Germany yet. On October 8th, they will simultaneously shoot with 16 mm, 35 mm, Digital Betacam, and HDCAM cameras throughout Munich. The film is to be submitted to several festivals now, HotDocs (website) had short-listed it. And we now have a version with German subtitles as well ...
